The Woodlands, TX – On Saturday, Oct. 20, at 10 a.m., Sadler Clinic will sponsor a presentation entitled “Obesity: It’s more than just how your clothes fit.” Endocrinologist Shari C. Fox, M.D. is the featured speaker. The presentation will take place in Future Court at The Woodlands Mall (first level across from JC Penney). Dr. Fox will discuss the health risks associated with obesity, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes and other significant health issues. She will share tips for overcoming – and preventing – obesity through proper diet plans, the right amount and type of exercise and beneficial, medically supervised medications. Dr. Fox earned her medical degree from University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio, where she also completed a fellowship in Endocrinology. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. She is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the Endocrine Society and the Texas Medical Association.
