The Woodlands, TX - Dr. Brent Allmon is new to Sadler Clinic, having joined the medical staff last July. However, he is anything but new to the 1960 area, where he grew up. A graduate of Westfield High School, Allmon earned his MD degree from the University of Texas, Houston Medical School in 2000 and completed his residency at the University of Missouri Medical School in Columbia in 2003, where he served as chief resident and was the recipient of a fellowship in geriatric medicine.
Allmon is currently seeing patients in his offices at Sadler Clinic's new Sterling Ridge facility at 6704 Sterling Ridge Drive. Appointments can be made by calling (281) 210-1200. "I'm delighted to be back in this area again," Allmon commented. "It's doubly meaningful to me to establish a family medicine practice in the area where my family raised me and where I hope one day to raise a family of my own."
Allmon will be speaking to lots of health-oriented families on Saturday, January 8, at 10 a.m. at The Woodlands Mall, where he will offer advice on how to be "A Healthier You for 2005." This presentation will include information on weight management, exercise, and nutrition, and is free to the public. Allmon's tips for enjoying a healthier new year will be part of a health fair at The Woodlands Mall, sponsored by Sadler Clinic. The fair will include free blood pressure checks, height, weight and BMI (Body Mass Index) measurements. Physical therapists from Sadler Clinic will be on hand at 9:30 a.m. to demonstrate how to incorporate stretching exercises into fitness routines for greater flexibility and balance. The fair will run from 9 a.m. to 12 Noon.
